UPCOMING WARRIOR EVENTS

"HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS"

"Thank You" Rick Roberts and Loyal Listeners...

"Thank You" San Diego Residents and Supporters of the San Diego Warrior Foundation...

Your generous donations made it possible to fly 170 Warriors from the Naval Medical Center (Balboa Hospital) and 32nd St Naval Base "Home for the Holidays".

We plan to post some of the wonderful letters the Warrior Foundation has received from family members of these Warriors (Marines, Soldiers and Sailors).

Thank You - Thank You - Thank You

RENO CONTRACTING ANNUAL GOLF FUNDRAISER FOR WARRIOR FOUNDATION
Reno Contracting 11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will benefit the Warriors in San Diego for the Third Year in a row. This past year Reno Contracting has provided our special Warriors with two new lounges on the third deck of the Med Hold Building, complete with huge sofa's, 6 recliner chairs, bookcases and many other touches of home - as well as helped to make sure that each and every Warrior was able to have a air plane ticket home for the Holiday. Our Warriors enjoy immensely joining in and having the privilege to play golf along side of all the employee's of Reno Contracting. Our many thanks to all the Reno Contracting employees who make such a difference in our Warriors lives.

BENEFIT BIKE RIDE FOR OUR WARRIORS FROM SAN DIEGO TO OKLAHOMA CITY
My name is Eric Mc Ginnis and I need your support as I gear up and train for the ride of my life. In October of 2008 I will be riding my bike from San Diego, California to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in an effort to raise money for two causes that are very  important to me and that ultimately have touched every person living in the United States. The organizations I speak of are Ally’s House in Oklahoma City and The Warrior Foundation of San Diego, California.

I am 36 years old and an insulin dependent diabetic for 10 years now. I commit to you my heart and my legs to raising as much money for these soldiers as I possibly can. I am but one individual who, with the help of many of you, can really make a difference in so many lives.

Soldiers come in all sizes; from infant, toddler and teen cancer patients fighting for their lives to those brave young adults who sacrifice every day so you and I can enjoy the freedoms that can so easily be taken for granted. I would like to ask for your support and pledge as I begin my training for this 1,500 mile journey in October of 2008. Please click on the link below to learn more about how you can help donate to these outstanding organizations. Please note that all donations are tax deductible. http://ridingforheros.blogspot.com

Golfers 4 Freedom Fundraiser
On May 21st the Golfers 4 Freedom held a fundraiser for the Warrior Foundation. Our Warriors really enjoyed the day outside. The Golf was great and the company was just what our Warriors needed. Special thanks to Mr. Keith Barnett and all the patriotic golfers who participated. It was a great success. Mr. Barnett's efforts helped us directly purchase the donation of TWO CRANK BIKES which were presented to Balboa Hospital and the Therapy Center on June 1st.

Boy Scout Troop and Pack 151 Visit the Warriors
Boy Scout Troop and Pack 151 presented the American Flag and the Marine Flag to our Warriors. They also presented an American Flag and US Navy Flag to the Navy's side of the Med-Hold. The Boy Scouts collected cans to purchase these much asked for items. Our Warriors shook the hands of the Boy Scouts and talked with them for quite some time, something I am sure neither will forget for a long time.
